Speakers representing Government agencies and departments shared their perspectives on investing in the Philippines. Highlighted were attractive valuations of Philippine start-ups, size and growth rates of the Philippine market, as well as general ease in doing business in the Philippines mostly due to its English speaking population. Notwithstanding, there is a need for proper due diligence and understanding of local market nuances through subject matter experts on Philippine market entry.
To get a commercial perspective on FDIs and the PH start-up ecosystem, Victor Tay, Chief Executive Officer of RHT Consulting Asia and China-ASEAN Business Alliance, moderated a panel discussion with Katrina Rausa Chan, Executive Director, QBO Innovation Hub, and James Lette, Chair, ASEAN Business Angel Alliance.
