Rajaram has represented airlines and aircraft operators in the Asia Pacific Region in numerous aircraft transactions including the leasing, purchase/sale and financing of commercial aircraft, business jets and in the acquisition of new generation aircraft. He also advises on aviation regulatory matters, structuring of transactions and in the repossession of aircraft.
Rajaram has undertaken litigation in the High Court, Court of Appeal and in the State Courts involving commercial transactions. He also handled most of the Plaintiff cases for passengers and crew involved in two air crashes involving Singaporean carriers. In May 2004, he was appointed a Reserve Panel Member of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) and has also presided as an arbitrator.
Before commencing legal practice, Rajaram served in the Singapore Legal Service and held various judicial appointments including Magistrate, Deputy Registrar, Coroner, Magistrate Juvenile Court and as District Judge and presided over both civil and criminal cases. He also presided for 5 years as President of the General Court Martial whilst fulfilling his duties as a reservist in the Singapore Armed Forces.
He left the Legal Service in 1994 to enter private practice. He was a partner of Wee, Ramayah & Partners from 1994 till 2015 and joined Quahe Woo & Palmer LLC as a consultant when the two firms merged.
