RHTLaw Asia Bolsters International Arbitration Practice with addition of Veteran Arbitrator Senior Counsel Professor Leslie Chew

We are pleased to announce that Professor Leslie Chew, Senior Counsel, has joined us in our Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice as Senior Consultant. He brings with him more than 42 years of legal experience. He was appointed Senior Counsel in 2000. His joining us also highlights the continued growth of our dispute resolution practice in 2020, following the arrival of Litigation Senior Consultant Vijay Rai earlier this year.

As an accomplished commercial arbitrator, he has practised as an arbitrator and arbitration counsel since 1993. He was a former president of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Professor Chew, SC’s practice spans the full range of commercial litigation and has represented clients in commercial crime or white collar cases.

He has also actively advised HNWI in estate planning and family business disputes and will be part of our Private Wealth Industry Group.

Professor Chew, SC, was appointed District Judge in 2007 and has written several important decisions that influenced law reform or led to changes in the law. As Counsel, he has acted in multi-million international disputes in arbitration and commercial cases locally and overseas.
