Healthcare and Life Sciences Partner (Foreign Lawyer) Erwan Barre invited to moderate at the MedTech Forum organised by Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association

RHTLaw Taylor Wessing Healthcare & Life Sciences Partner (Foreign Lawyer) Erwan Barre was invited as a moderator for a MedTech Investment panel discussion at the Asia Pacific MedTech Forum 2017, organised by the Asia-Pacific Medical Technology Association (APACMed). The 2ndedition of this event featured insightful discussions led by global thought leaders in healthcare.

Erwan moderated a panel discussion on the topic “MedTech Investment 2017 – Where opportunities Lie in Asia Pacific” and shared his extensive experiences on corporate transactions. The distinguished panellists comprised Eric Loh, Chief Executive Officer of Trendlines Singapore; Sue MacLeman, Chief Executive Officer of MTP Connect; Hideo Arase, Managing Director of Terumo Asia Holdings, Director & Senior Executive Officer of Terumo Corporation; Renee Compton Ryan, Vice President of Venture Investments at Johnson & Johnson Innovation Centre.

Carrying the theme “Transforming Healthcare through Innovation”, the event brought together senior medical device executives, regulators, policy makers, healthcare providers, payers, governments representatives and major supporting partner organisations including the Association of Malaysian Medical Industries, Medical Technology Association of Australia, Medical Technology Association of India and Singapore Manufacturing Federation.

The three-day forum from 7-9 November 2017 was held at The Star Performing Arts Centre. It was attended by over 500 delegates and showcased 80 speakers taking part in 16 panel discussions.

The keynote address was given by Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Baxter International, Joe Almeida.
