Although the construction industry was one of the first to return to work in August 2020, it continues to face difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in delays and disruptions and the consequent time and costs overruns. The government introduced various reliefs through the COVID-19 Temporary Measures Act (COTMA), alongside other programmes sponsored by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and Ministry of Manpower (MOM). However, with the COTMA Prescribed Period due to expire on 30 September 2021, the moratorium on legal action will be lifted. Are you ready for the 30 September deadline?
