Appointment of Partner (Foreign Lawyer) Daniel Lubis

Let us welcome Daniel Lubis, who has joined the Firm as a Partner (Foreign Lawyer) in our Corporate & Capital Markets Practice.

Daniel is an experienced lawyer who specialises in advising on energy and natural resources, as well as TMT transactions in Singapore and the region, with a focus on Indonesia. He is a qualified lawyer in Indonesia, and registered as a foreign lawyer in Singapore.

Having been based in Singapore since 2009, Daniel has strong negotiating skills and represented clients in a variety of industries, with practice focuses on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, foreign investments, major project developments, and civil law in the region. His clients include both global and regional businesses, as well as start-up companies.

Daniel’s lucrative career experience on energy and natural resources includes advising governments, operators, contractors, and private investors in investments, disposals, or transactions structured as concessions, PPPs or privatisations. His experience in TMT encompasses matter related to IT system development and procurement, software licencing and delivery, data centre arrangements, e-commerce, cloud/online services, data protection, joint ventures, and new technologies.

Prior to joining RHTLaw Asia, Daniel was a senior foreign counsel in one of the largest law firms in Southeast Asia where he was involved in landmark corporate transactions, as well as complex and high-profile litigation and arbitration matters.

In 2021, Daniel co-founded of Numankade Technology Ltd, a UK-based media and technology company specialising in business, consumer, and travel media, including websites, business software, and reward and benefit programmes.

Daniel is fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
